links
Here is a collection of links to things I've found online that I think are cool.
personal blogs and sites
I would add descriptions for each of these, but I want them to speak for themselves. Each of these sites is full of a bunch of thoughtful, kind, and interesting work that I think you'll enjoy.
blogs
- Uses This - interviews about the software and hardware people use to do what they do
- Treble Zine - independent music journalism
substacks
- internet princess by rayne fisher-quann - perhaps the best person writing about feminism and internet culture right now
- evil female by charlie squire - more fantastic feminist cultural criticism
- in a panoramic? by Haaniyah Angus - "journal entries masquerading as personal essays (+ some culture criticism)"
misc
- David (Foster) Wallace's Syllabus - The syllabus for David Foster Wallace's "Literary Interpretation" class
- Immersive Math - interactive linear algebra lessons. I still haven't completed it, but as someone who finds math generally interesting, it's fun to check out
- Goatlings - Imagine if Neopets had less features, and instead of a bunch of unique pets, you only had goats. That's Goatlings, and I'm unfortunately obsessed.
